About Knocking On Heaven's Door: In 1973 Bob Dylan was commissioned to write the original soundtrack to the western Pat Garrett & Billy the Kid. The result was the extremely melancholic Knocking on Heaven’s Door we can hear in the scene where the town sheriff is killed.
The song made a huge impression on the public and went on to be a massive hit. Many artists such as Tracy Chapman, Eric Clapton and Guns N’Roses have released beautiful cover versions.
